Service Description
This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals seeking to enhance their ability to support clients experiencing life transitions, loss and grief. Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one. It can emerge through the end of relationships, the loss of employment, shifts in identity, and other major life transitions. Using evidence-based interventions, this course will provide practical techniques to help clients develop effective coping skills, process their emotions, and navigate the complexities of life in a healthy manner. Participants will explore therapeutic strategies tailored to different types of loss to include transitions with jobs, the end of significant relationships, anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, loss of loved one and traumatic loss. Special attention will be given to experiences from the loss of relationships, including romantic breakups, estrangement, and friendship loss. The course will examine the emotional and psychological impact of relational grief and provide clinicians with tools to help clients rebuild their sense of identity, process unresolved emotions, and foster resilience. Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to recognize various stages of grief and the common emotional and psychological impact of ambiguous and disenfranchised loss in clients experiencing loss and life transitions. Participants will be able to implement evidence-based coping strategies tailored to individuals experiencing life transitions, loss and grief, helping clients manage distress and foster emotional resilience. Participants will learn to utilize therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness to guide clients through life transitions, loss and grief in a structured and supportive way. Participants will be equipped to identify and apply ethical principles and professional boundaries to fit the unique cultural, developmental, and personal needs of clients. While also supporting clients through loss, grief and major life transitions, with particular attention to cultural sensitivity, scope of practice, and the therapist’s own emotional responses. Participants will empower clients in creating personalized coping plans that strengthen their ability to navigate future life transitions and losses that promote healing and enhance long-term resilience.

BLISS Counseling & Consulting To ensure a smooth experience for all participants, please review our CEU Training Booking Policy prior to registering. 🔹 Registration & Payment All training registrations must be completed online through our designated booking platform or website. Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Registrations are non-transferable unless approved in writing by our training coordinator at least 48 hours in advance. We accept all major credit/debit cards. For group rates or invoicing requests, please email contact@balancelifecounseling.com. 🔹 Confirmation & Access A confirmation email with event details (including login information for virtual trainings) will be sent upon successful registration. Reminders and access links are sent 24–48 hours before the training. Please check your spam/junk folders. 🔹 Cancellation & Refunds We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows: Full Refund: Available if cancellation is requested 72 hours or more before the training date (processing fees may apply). Partial Refund (50%): If cancellation is made within 72 hours of the training start time. No Refund: For cancellations made within 24 hours of the training or for no-shows. To request a cancellation, email contact@balancelifecounseling.com with your name, registration email, and training title. 🔹 Attendance & CEU Eligibility To receive CEU credit and a certificate of completion, attendees must: Be present for the entire duration of the training. Complete a post-training evaluation within 48 hours of the event. CEU certificates are sent via email within 5 business days after the training. 🔹 Technology Requirements (for virtual events) A stable internet connection is required. Please ensure your full name is displayed during the session to verify attendance. Participants must be visible and engaged throughout the training to earn CEU credit (unless otherwise noted). 🔹 Training Cancellations by BLISS In the rare event that a training is canceled by BLISS Counseling & Consulting due to low enrollment, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, all registered participants will be notified immediately and offered: A full refund, or A credit toward a future training of equal value.
