What happens when life forces you to slow down, start over, or completely rethink the future you had planned? Maybe you're learning to live with a chronic illness, struggling to recognize the person you've become, or feeling frustrated because the things that once came easily now feel overwhelming.

I help people navigate those moments when life feels unfamiliar, confidence is shaken, and emotions are difficult to manage. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, changes in your health, or uncertainty about your next chapter, I want to help you find ways to feel more like yourself again.

In our sessions, we won't just focus on what you're going through. We'll explore how it's affecting your daily life, relationships, and the way you see yourself. Using approaches such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I'll help you develop realistic ways to manage your emotions, adjust to change, and regain a sense of independence.

"Your life may look different than you expected, but different doesn't mean it can't still be meaningful, fulfilling, and yours."

Professional Background & Experience

Simaya Moore is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a strong educational foundation in social work and evidence-based mental health treatment. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Tuskegee University and her Master of Social Work from Troy University.

Her clinical training and professional experience have equipped her to support individuals facing emotional challenges, significant life changes, and the psychological impact of chronic health conditions. She understands that mental health is often influenced by circumstances beyond a person's control, including physical health, relationships, environmental stressors, and major life experiences.

Simaya incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy into her clinical practice. Her approach emphasizes helping clients better understand their thoughts and behaviors, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies that support everyday functioning.

She values the importance of individualized care and recognizes that successful therapy looks different for everyone. By combining clinical knowledge with a collaborative and person-centered approach, Simaya works to ensure that treatment is both meaningful and responsive to each client's circumstances, goals, and personal values.
